This property has the benefit of a four camera system,

The cameras are color / monochrome ( color during the day and automatically change to black and white at night to give better results) the cameras also have built in infra red led’s which turn on when the cameras change to monochrome.

 

The DVR (digital video recorder) is situated in the loft area and is also linked to the localised computer network,  this allows the owner to view the cameras and control the DVR from remote locations.

This system is located on a car park at the stoke on trent railway station,

There are 29 cameras, all colour / monochrome with varifocal direct drive lenses,

These cameras are also quite special as they will work in very low lighting conditions and still return acceptable pictures.

The DVR’s are situated in the stationmasters offices quite a distance away from the car park, thus needing extra equipment to feed the pictures to the DVR’s,

This is done by a balun linked system ( the composite video from the camera is fed into a balun at the camera end, fed down Cat5 and to the corresponding active balun at the DVR end then converted back and into the DVR.

This method allows multiple camera links at distance at a reasonable cost.
